Been away from the forum for a while and just found the late 22 survey. Based on the information provided this could be the last Model 90 made in .22 long. It’s actually one of the last model 90’s made. I plugged it into the date finder and it says 1942. I’m traveling so do not have access to my Schwing books. It has a crowned octagon barrel, clean tang, smooth trigger, etc standard sights but with the shorter base. Was my wife’s grandfathers gun. I have a few pics on my phone but will post better pics in the next couple of weeks if more are desired. If anyone has questions I’ll try to answer them.

I have a Model 62-A just a few numbers higher than your M90. # 853279. It was PR’d, presumably, with a leftover M90 receiver from 1942. It has 1947 parts, slide extension, grooved trigger, and a serrated hammer. Also, the bbl. is dated “53”. Pull the tube on your rifle and look for a bbl. date. Might help. Big Larry
