Recently, I was gifted a Winchester Model 90-22 WRF. With my limited experience, it appears to be in extremely good condition. 95% of the bluing is in very good condition, except where the barrel slide and receiver action slide has worn off some of the bluing from normal wear/use. There is no rust or significant scratches, other than some scratches/pitting on the metal stock butt plate. The wood & finish on barrel slide and wood stock are in extremely good condition.

The serial # is 789XXX series. For insurance coverage, can anyone share/determine the year or date range it was made and the approximate value? (Or direct me to where this info can be sourced?)

Along with the rifle I have two 250-round cases of Winchester Limited Edition WRF 22 Rimfire ammo in mint/new condition.

Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide!

Look up top in the “Resources” pulldown for “When was Your Winchester Made?” then plug your serial number in.

With out pics. the rifle would be just a WAG on valuation. The ammo is going for about $11.00 a box or $55 for a 5 round brick. I’ve seen people asking more ($90-100 per 5 pack brick) for the WW limited edition stuff at local gun shows but it was still sitting on their tables at the end of the show. It’s too new to be collectible (mid 90’s) and the stuff does not shoot well.(I’ve tried it out of 4 different 1890’s-90’s) CCI puts it to shame in the accuracy dept.

You can’t without being a member.  But easier than that is comparing the condition of your gun with photos of SOLD 90s on Gun Broker.  Your description sounds like it’s probably in the $800-1000 range, but that’s just a guess.
