Hello all… i recently bought a 75 manufactured in 1942.. it came with original mailbox shaped front sight and 84a rear and shoots well with these.. i also have a redfield 75 rear sight and 63 globe front sight.. what i need is the cross dovetail mount for the front globe.. looking for the part number and height of base if anyone could help would be amazing… thanks in advance !!!

Hi Marty,
For the Winchester Model 75 equipped with the Redfield 63 front sight the Redfield base was the “DW” aka “1DW”. I don’t have one out to measure but I believe it is the same height as the Unertl “AK” base which I think is .180″ high. I can measure some later today if you desire?

Hi Marty,
They are available on the secondary market. here is an “AK” for sale on eBay – Unertl AK Base (EXPENSIVE)
Steve Earle also makes a quality reproduction base as well – https://www.steveearleproducts.com/scopeblocks.html I like the set-screw feature on Steve’s blocks
I will get you the actual dimensions today but regardless, you need the lowest cross dovetail block available.
