I have a guy who is selling a Model 74 .22 any idea where I should be on it as far as price? I haven’t seen it in person yet, I understand condition and if its been refinished will affect price, but just from the pictures it looks clean. The serial number is 350332A Just looking for an idea

I sold my 1952 M74 last August for $300.00. Serial #315903A was in excellent condition. I had it for 4 years and only fired it once. It worked perfectly. I think these rifles are underappreciated.

That’s the big attraction for Winchester .22’s, at least for me. If you look you’ll soon find a high condition example for a very reasonable price. Not much money to be made buying and selling Winchester rimfires but I’ve been able to gather up several very nice examples for less than the cost of one good 1886 or 1892. Great fun to shoot, too!

If it has the peep sight installed on the rear bolt, it’s much higher $. Also I believe you do not want to use the safety, if you work the bolt with the safety on, you have a big issue.

Don’t forget the later production rifles with the grooved receiver. Hard to find. I recently sold my early M74 and am keeping my late, grooved receiver, rifle.  Big Larry
