I have a Model 67 that I believe was made in 1937. I have had it for 50 yrs. I just discovered the butt plate says Mod.72.  Is it possible Winchester may have used a 72 butt plate on a 67 rifle,  Or is it more likely the butt plate is not original to the rifle?

Winchester used that butt plate on several models of 22 rifles.

It was used on the Model 67 from 1938 onward.
