It’s been 4 years so I guess my original post was deleted.

I had a family gun, model 62 made in 1936 that I pretty much ruined by leaving it in a damp closet.   Stripped the Rust/finish off then it happened again.  I shot the heck out of it in my youth and finally broke the firing pin, front sight broken, and had a bolt pin come loose.

i decided to have it repaired and refinished since I retired.  It came back looking like a shiny new penny.   Looked brand new, metal and wood and the repair was excellent.   Shoots spot on just like I remembered.

if anyone is looking for this type of work I highly recommend:

Took a while but totally worth it.

No such thing as “good work fast.”  In fact, even most gun-hacks stay busy, because their “victims” don’t find out until it’s too late.

Vince,

I wasn’t trying to create a link, wouldn’t know how to do that.

I merely typed in their email addy.  Guess it’s “cut and paste”.

Clarence,

a +10 on that comment.

I shipped it to them and they put it into the queue for the right guy.  I wasn’t complaining at all.  In fact I was in no hurry and made that clear to them.  A rushed job is definitely inferior to a relaxed “get it done when you can” one.
