I recently saw a model 62A withSerial #139888, this rifle has been re-blued and on the receiver has been re-chambered from 22 shoe to 22LR. On the barrel it has several markings. 22lr 010-6108 tons perrli-bnp on the barrel. Various curious proof marks. What’s the story on this little rifle? What is it worth?

The BNP is a Birminingham proof mark it should have a crown above it. The rifle was made in 1941and spent part of it’s life in England. As to value without pictures I’d guess somewhere between $300 and $500.

I think you’re right on the price, even though it has been re-blued and re-chambered. I didn’t see a crown, maybe what I had mistaken for  a proof mark was the crown. Does the tons perrli mean anything to anyone? It’s stamped on the barrel with all of the other information.  It’s interesting about the life of these little old guns, where they have been. Thank you for the reply.
