OfflineI went through the older posts on this topic, and didn’t see anything on the Maxim Silencer in the .22 caliber, as a few others, mostly in the 25-20 caliber on the M-1892, were found, so I decided to try to show some pictures here. We’ve seen a few Winchester .22 cal. with the adapter on them, as I’ve had several, over the years myself.

The silencer is stamped with the proper markings from Maxim, 7,8, and in Pic. #9, it shows the, “Model 1920”!
The “Maxim Silencer”, shown is complete with the factory tube that came with the actual, .22 caliber Silencer. Hiram Percy Maxim, the inventor credited with the Maxim Silencer, patented, March 30, 1909.

Wow! What a cool period accessory. Thanks for sharing this with us.
It really is! You’re Welcome!
I didn’t show my paper work, as there’s too much personal information, that I would have to box out, and it would take away from it, and I also didn’t show the numbers stamped on the back of it either!

Thanks for sharing Anthony, very interesting!
I too have owned a few rimfires that were threaded for the Maxim. Never have I seen one for sale, but would love to own one!
Congrats on finding yours. It looks like a stellar example.
Thanks Joel,
The old school bluing on it just gives you that feeling that we all like to see!
