I love the M47 and plan to shoot it a lot, just wondering if there are ways to improve/lighten the trigger pull?

Any trigger can be improved by careful stoning of the sear surfaces.  Sometimes it’s possible to reduce mainspring tension without impeding ignition.  No doubt there are YouTube videos showing how it’s done on other triggers, though nothing specific to this rifle.  One easy thing to try first: apply red grease to sear surfaces.
