Looking for a good value on a 22 lr model 1885  #19515. It is around 90%.  Short time frame.

Welcome, Frank. As a member you can post pics; good quality pics will generate the most interest. Be sure to include pics of stampings including serial number, receiver, upper and lower tangs, sights and butt stock.

Also short on details.  Not likely a LR.

Thanks Mike.  Last time it took so long I just ended up sending them to Bert directly.  I sent him pics of one of my 30-30 but did not hear back.  Probably busy.  A collector ended buying it and a couple other 30-30’s.

Winchester Single Shot S/N 19515 was not manufactured as a 22 LR.  As listed in the factory warehouse ledger records, it was a 22 Short with a 24-inch No. 1 octagon barrel, manufactured in March 1888.  The 22 Long Rifle was not introduced until mid year 1890.
