OfflineIt may be missing the trigger spring or the spring may have lost its omph being probably about my age.
Over at the Winchester forum at Rimfrecentral there was a fix using a rubber spring!
It would pay to either ask or check past thoughts on the matter.
The trigger system is pretty simple with a light cloths type spring giving the pre-tension.
And this is the fix using a rubber band, took me an hour of hunting to find this.
Wrapping some tape around the bar that lifts up the sear can make the trigger feel better too.
