I saw this rifle over the weekend. Thank you for all you do. How long before they move on to other models or did they prefect their craft on the model 70 and are now doing anything that makes money. I don’t believe this is limited to the model 61 or to just Winchesters. Thanks again Jay

This situation makes me glad that my lone M61 is neither mint nor unique. Thank you Michael for all that you do in this regard.

Don’t want to point fingers or seem overly suspicious, but the seller in question has listed on GI a few other “like new” Winchesters……..

Regarding the WINCHESTER on the receiver, were these actually engraved or stamped?  This example looks like it was stamped due to the raised metal showing around the letters, especially around the ESTER portion.

What REALLY caught my eye is the fact that the WINCHESTER is not even on a straight line!!
