I’m interested in adding a 9422 Tribute Custom to my collection. Since only 222 were made, I’m having a little trouble locating one. The only gun for sale on gunbroker is priced sky high, so it’s not moving after several months.

Anyone have one, or a lead on one, that’s potentially for sale at a price that could be considered sane?

I don’t know what You figure You should be paying for one of these but a very limited gun of 222 pieces is going to be expensive. I collected Commemoratives for a number of years and the scarcer they were the costlier they got, like up to $30,000.00 for some. I never got into the tribute guns but if I had one of these would have been high on the list. I tried to order a set of 94/22 tributes when they came out but they were all spoken for. Good luck on finding one.

I’ve seen three Customs sell at auction last year. They sold for $3,700, $5000, and $5200. I’d throw out the $3,700 and say that the current market value is $5100.

Of course, that’s only my opinion, which isn’t worth much.

Well then offer Him $5,100.00, He may say no but then again You may own it. If it’s been for sale a while He may be ready to take less money if it’s seriously “for sale” Keep in mind He can ask what ever He wants.

Try contacting the seller “Papalondog” on Guns International. He always has several rare 9422’s that he does not have advertised. Very good guy and reasonable to deal with.

Only several months?  6 mos, or a year, would not be surprising on GB–where sucker-pricing is the norm, not the exception.
