Bert,
I have to add that, I like everything about all, three that you purchased!
Hearing the provenance and what you have, and being a brown gun, wouldn’t have held me back. At the $10,000.00 grand that you said you spent for the package. In fact, it would have solidified me, moving forward, as you did on them!
It’s stuff like these that keeps us intrigued, and collecting as many of us do. It’s also nice that you we’re able to acquire them from a WACA member, possibly putting some beans, in their coffers, towards another members, item or items. The wheel keeps turning.

Thanks! I set out to acquire just the Model 54 Hornet rifle, but the two Riot Guns (from a different person) just fell into my lap out of the blue.
Now that I have rounded out my Winchester 22 Hornet rifle collection, I am going to shift my focus towards finding at least two more Model 1893 shotguns (a “B” series and a “B☆” series gun). Unfortunately, they are scarce! Currently, I have found and documented just (604) surviving Model 1893 shotguns.

Bert,
Your 1893 Riot shotgun is outstanding. Hard enough to find any 1893 with condition let alone a rare riot gun.
About 7 years back my friend Gary bought a small collection of guns from a young man selling his grandfathers guns. Most were pretty much junk, but the guy wanted to sell them all in one bunch, so Gary bought them. In the mix was an Model 1893 with a 20″ barrel. Gary’s first thougt was cut down barrel. I asked him are you sure? He said not sure, but it was marked Cyl bore. I encouraged him to send for a letter, and sure enough it came back as factory original 20″ barrel. It was not near the condition of yours, but still for what he paid for the entire lot, he did well.
