I sold both of my 9422’s this past weekend. Too nice to shoot and not enough collector interest to keep them in my little herd. Sweet little guns but I won’t miss them. Sometimes we need to thin the herd a bit.

So, you now have a Poke full of $$$ for the Cody show
I will be dead broke for the show this year as I just bought three more Winchesters, (1) a Model 1893 Riot Gun, (2) a Model 1897 Riot Gun, and (3) a Model 54 22 Hornet)… total bill $10K.

Yes, I sold a few last weekend. Nice to have a little cash after spending so much last year on stuff not nearly as enjoyable as old Winchesters. I’m glad you were able to score that Model 54 but quite honestly I’d rather peruse those riot guns if you’d be kind enough to bring them to Cody.

Not trying to hi jack Big Larry’s thread, as I do like this trapper!! Heck enough to make me want it, in all honesty!
Bert,
Pics of the model 54, .22 Hornet, that you have been looking for, would be greatly appreciated.
Anthony
Exactly! I probably wouldn’t have sold a Trapper.

I am purchasing it from one of our fellow WACA forum members, and it is being delivered to me at the upcoming Cody show.
These are a few pictures that were sent to me.

Bert,
That’s a nice set up, and on a great example. I know that you’ve been looking for one for awhile. Congrats!!!
Big Larry is right, as that’s a nice Fecker on top! (I had to make sure that I double checked my spelling as it didn’t sound right at first)! LOL!
You wouldn’t hurt our feelings, with pics of the two Riot guns either! Curious minds want to see!

The attached pictures are what the seller sent to me for the Model 1893 Riot Gun. It is one of the (644) factory original Riot Guns listed in the Winchester ledger records.

Nice one, Bert! I guess that explains why I’ve never seen an 1893 Riot gun, doubt there are many as nice as this one.

A 93 riot. That’s a good find.

WOW!Bert,
Extremely hard to come by, and then in that condition. Congrats once again!!!
Thanks for sharing!

You are welcome. I am planning to bring both of the Riot Guns to the Cody show in a few months. The Model 1897 Riot Gun is not in nearly as nice condition, but it has provenance as it was specifically ordered and purchased by the State of Texas for police/militia use. It is factory marked “COMMITTEE PUBLIC SAFETY” (on the left side of the receiver). Based on my limited research, it was part of a (500) gun order.
The Riot Gun I bought is a “brown” gun, but it is 100% original. Thus far I have documented (12) of the CPS marked Riot Guns (all in the 184900 – 186800 serial range).

Bert-
That 1897 Riot is in very good shape considering the life it has likely led. Looking forward to seeing more of all three!

Well, that won’t be much of a problem as you always have a “front row” seat!
Certainly won’t have far to go.
