Scored a 67A youth model to give my brother so that he could introduce his Grandkids to the shooting sports. Two questions: I have not found a date stamp on the underside of the receiver/barrel and I’m curious about when it was built. I don’t know if the Youth model was built continuously between 1938 and 1963 or what changes were made along the way. Second question is probably better asked elsewhere but I need to re-secure the bushing in the stock for the screw that holds the barreled action. I’m thinking wood glue but I need a release agent/lube for the captive screw. Suggestions?

None of the model 67’s I’ve seen have a date code. The Junior was built from 1937 until 1963.
The model 67A started in 1949 with a change to the main spring. Late 1950’s they chromed both the trigger and trigger guard. Early ones were blued.
Several stock styles the early finger grove, the pre war blunt , the slimmer post war and the model 67A stock.

Thanks! This one has the chromed trigger and guard, just like my standard model.
