I have a model 62 dated 1938 that I’m thinking of selling ( I have a 1906 I prefer to shoot )..
In looking on sites like Gunbroker, I get more confused about how to list the gun. A local dealer said he’d rate it at 70% but I see most of the ones for sale in poorer shape stating 80% or more.
I also am confused on the blue book listing since it says a .22 short w/o roll die markings is rarer than a gallery..
Mine is a .22 short only.. non-gallery. There is no roll die on it ( at least from what I’ve been able to figure out is a roll die ).
Your Model 62 is a standard 22 Short rifle. The Gallery variant is more common without the WINCHESTER roll marking on the left side of the receiver frame. In regards to the stated graded conditions, the majority of the sellers on Gunbroker overstate the graded condition, whereas when they are looking at your gun, the condition will usually be lower. It is tough to get an accurate feel for what the graded condition of your rifle is from the pictures you posted, but it appearts to be in the 70-80% range.
