I picked up a 1962 model 61 .22MRF that is missing the rear sight. I have a 1942 62A, and wondered if the same sight was used in 62? I have a bunch of sight that I have gathered up over the years, but want to install the correct one.

Hi Bret,
Both the 1962 Model 61 .22MRF and the 1942 Model 62A used the same Winchester 32B rear sight with the 2C elevator. However, the finish on the pre-war 32B sights is different than the later sights used on a 1962 version. For your Model 61 you would want the 32B with the coarser surface finish and darker DuLite blue to be absolutely correct.

Glad to help, they probably the most common sight used on Winchester .22’s and are readily available from many sources.
Hopefully you can find one that will match the overall condition of your rifle.
