I have a 1890 .22 short rifle that won’t feed from the magazine with more than one round in it. It looks to me like the second round gets in the way. Like the area that receives the round is too deep allowing the second round to clog things up. Do you think it has been modified or possibly has a part from a rifle that shot longs? Is there an adjustment?rnThanks in advance. Greg B.
Hello Greg,
More than likely your Model 1890 has been modified to shoot 22 Long Rifle ctgs. First, try single loading (through the top of the action) a 22 LR ctg. If it full chambers, eject it and then load 3-4 22 LR cartridges in the magazine tube and see if the cycle through the action properly.
