OfflineA good friend of mine has an 1895 deluxe with factory fancy checkered walnut and a crescent butt plate, chambered in 405 WCF. He filled the magazine and offered me the rifle to shoot. I fired exactly one round and promptly handed it back to him. I had no interest in firing it a second time!

OnlineI need advice on 1895 38-72 octagon barrel crescent butt SN 42125. As per WACA it was DOM 1903 but has a King rear sight Pat. 1907. As per Stroebel, correct sights could be Winchester 22A, 22B or 24B. I need something correct but not expensive as this is not high condition. I believe the front sight is a Lyman no. 3 (ivory bead. Any advice ? Don

They are all in 405 and picked up one more last week in a takedown but took the picture before I had it in hand.
Wow… one for each day of the week! Did you name them “Monday”, “Tuesday”, “Wednesday” etc. ??
Bert
