Emerging from the dark recesses of the vault: sn122157, cal 45-90.  No time for more photos so here are a couple I-Phone teasers.  BK

Nice, thanks for sharing. Looks like some old Colt slipped in and photobombed your Winchester pic. Wink

LOL!  I love old Colts but usually have a 1943 Ithaca as my daily carry here on the farm.  Working in the garage yesterday, I decided to tote “my old 44”  (Gene Autry “Back In The Saddle Again”) in my waste band, but it got in the way when I bent over to use the I Phone so I put it on the bench…I think Winchesters and Colts look good together.  60 years ago, my great uncle kept his 1873 and Colt 44 in his pantry. He’d let this second grader handle the rifle but the loaded Colt was off limits.  That was still the old cowboy’s pocket gun.

I’ve never shot it.  Recently I picked up some new 45-90 loads made for old rifles but, considering their cost, I think I put a few 45-70s through this old gun instead.IMG_1280.JPGImage Enlarger
