I drove 2300 miles out to the Calgary show,(1000) tables, last weekend with a 2 table sale and display of Mod. 1894,s. Nice show and nice stuff. Anyway My sales were not brisk , I just sold a nice 15″ ’94 trapper and some rare 50-95 ammo, but I did end up trading 2 deluxe Marlins and 2 deluxe ‘ 94,s on 2 gorgeous ’86,s. 1 is .50 cal. rnd. bbl. 1/2 mag. s.g.b. British proofed to S.W. Silver & Co. London. This gun has about 60% case color and 95% blue with exc. wood. mfg. 1889. 2nd. is 45-90 oct. bbl., set trig., 1/2 mag. s.g.b., checkered,$4.00 engraving on bbl., oil finish, swivels with trace case colors and 90% blue mfg. 1893. Both guns letter as described and are very much original condition. There are still some very nice old Winchester in Canada, they haven’t all gone State side yet. I need to figure out how to post pictures on the forum, sometimes it would be nice to show off. harry

Very nice! My little smart phone didn’t do that 45-90 justice, really like the engraving. Classy touch to a classy rifle.

Sounds like you had some pretty awesome trading material too!
I guess there’s always a critic. I believe the c.c.’ed ’94 has been recased, . It’s the only case colored ’94 in the records with these features, and that is why I purchased it (the way it is). It’s not often one finds a 1 of a kind Winchester of any model, although I,ve had a few. Thanks for posting My pictures and thank You for all the good comments. Harry

Anyone who prefers original rifles, either way just a matter of personal preference.
I’m trying to stay with original rifles but I’m pretty sure I’d stray off the path for that one!
I’ve always preffered the Mod. ’94 over the other lever guns however,John Browning never designed and Oliver Winchester never manufactured an ugly gun. Its kind of like a comfortable pair of boots, they just look like they belong on Your feet. I am driving out to Wisconsin this weekend to bring home a 14″ and a 15″ Mod. “94 trappers, one well used the other really nice. These are My favorites. Harry
