I thought I would share some photos of a special order 1894 that my dad gifted to my 17 year old son recently. This gun is guaranteed to never leave the family! It’s pictured in the Madis book as well–anyone familiar with Thomas C. Johnson? I noticed he had a number of rifles pictured in The Winchester Book.

Are you kidding–probably Winchester’s greatest inventor after Browning! But this may be his son, as “the” TCJ died in 1934.
How well I remember those letters from Tom Hall! FREE, may I ad.
I have to admit I failed to make that connection. I wonder if they were related or just coincidence??

Clarence-
Date of the letter indicates it wasn’t the T C Johnson we’re thinking about but he was certainly alive when the rifle was built. Would be interesting to know if it’s a son or possibly even a grandson…that would make for a very special twist in this case. Maybe Madis left us a clue in his book.
