was just over on colt forum and reading about your “paterson” sorry to hear Harry . although I’m no colt expert I have been at them for about 10 years and held my share. it’s obvious by the pictures the discrepancies, mrcvs did a great job on the break down! ive seen some wonky winchesters go through your hands as well that were touched up etc. I’m not far from you if you ever need a second opinion on colts or winchesters etc. hit me up, I can honestly say I’ve held more early  lever action winchesters then others in canada. it’s a deadly game.. all the best Jeremy Scott
