Hello all-
I have wanted to start collecting Winchesters for some time now. Today, I purchased my first collectable. It’s an 1897 (manufactured in 1898) in, what I think is, pretty good condition. I am beginning my education and will appriciate any info, feedback, or advice from the members here. Good to be a member and look foreward to further discussions.
Chris,
Welcome to the wonderful world of WACA !
I just happen to know a few things about the Model 1897, as I have been collecting and researching them for a good number of years now. What is the configuration of your Model 1897? Is it a pre-C series gun, or a C-series?

Well , you now have become infected with a lifelong addiction. One which I also have. Fortunately my wife is a enabler. I just closed the deal on my 21st fix. Good luck and may we never recover. ?

Unfortunately you are north of the border. They are strictly an American variety. ? But you have some damn good beer.?
