I suppose if a guy had a .30-30 or .32 Special with a bad bore, it could be rebored to this. Reminds me a lot of of the .35/.30-30 wildcat cartridge. That was a fair option when a .30-30 or .32 Special was in need of a rebore. At least with this new Remington cartridge you have factory ammo. Of course, that means little to most of us who load are own.

At first glance I thought it was a 38-55. I suspect it is the grand old case tapered down to hold a .358 bullet. Might be pretty exciting for folks living in states mandating rifles chambered for straight wall cases for hunting.
