I posted a link to purchase in the “Winchester Swap Meet” section of this forum but thought I would describe the book a bit further here.
This is the only book dedicated to the design evolution and collector variations of the classic Winchester Model 69 bolt action rifle. Includes information on the pre-cursor models, development, production, all cataloged variations and component chronology.
It is the largest book ever written on a single model Winchester .22 rifle. 450+ pages with over 1,300 images and drawings. Limited edition bonded-leather bound, printed in the USA. Only 1000 of these Deluxe Edition hand-numbered copies are available. Cover price is $79.99.
Let me know if I can answer any additional questions. Thanks!
Best Regards,
.

Mine is on the way!!!! Nevada to California to Utah…………. go figure!!
WOW!!!! My Model 69 book arrived yesterday while I was at the trap range. I only had a little time to look through it last evening, but was really impressed with the quality and content. I have now, at 6:45 AM, realized that the last 40 minutes has passed with just the turn of a few pages! Great Book! Thank you Jeff. Roger B
Roger,
Glad you are enjoying it! Thanks for the kind words.

Hi Jeff-
Received my copy today and all I can say is WOW!!!
Although I’ve only had time to thumb through it, I have to say that your M69 book, along with Rob and Brad’s M95 book, are really raising the bar on Winchester reference books both in terms of depth/quality of research and “production value”.
Sometime I’ll have to chat about the “process”…
Thank you for investing the time and energy needed to bring this information to light… While I’m sure it was a “labor of love”, the “labor” part was surely Herculean!!!

Thanks Lou,
I hope you enjoy it. Researching and writing only took about an hour per day…….for 8 years. Doesn’t sound too bad if you say it quickly.
The next book should go MUCH quicker since I learned a lot and the “process” is already in place.
Looking forward to seeing your work on the Model 70 in the future.
Best Regards,
Jeff

Jeff, I received my copy of your book. It is not just monumental, it has raised the bar for all others who strive to write a Winchester reference book in the future. And it is a very high bar. Thank you.

Thanks for the kind words guys, you are making me blush.
Glad the information is now out there, I really enjoyed digging out all the little details.

I got my copy and while thumbing through it found the chapter on CSG marked rifles. I have number 304. I bought it a few years ago as a shooter which it is. Never tried to research the marking as I figured it had belonged to some gun club.
Thank you for all the hard work putting this book together. It will provide reading all winter long.

Hi Jay,

Methinks I need to head for the Post Office. I’m 24 hours into a staycation and some reading material would be a welcome addition of my to-do list.
