Thank you!  I’ve heard that there were heavy barrels and extra heavy barrels, and since I have seen a couple where the barrels were larger and to where the barrel ribs/edge of flats extended a bit beyond the receiver ring, I was thinking along the same lines.  Anyway, I really like your extra heavy barrel rifle!

I found some stats on extra heavy 86’s but 26” barrels. Still waiting on a reply from Jesi who might have some info on extra heavy 28” barrels. Also waiting to hear back from John Madl & will post when I get the info.

The extra heavy barrels sure draw a premium price!!

You be the judge of the value of Leroy’s gun but there is a lot more to this gun than the heavy barrel.  

Fair enough Chuck. I was just commenting in general the value of the HV & EHV’s.

Thanks Chuck. I just happen to stumble onto my 28” EHB by luck & was initially hesitant about price but after a little research I’m more than happy with the purchase price.
