SN#110494, circa 1952. Probably about 90%? Anyway, once I got into it, I don’t believe it saw that much use. It had been to the field though- a few thorns and grass seeds were buried in crud inside of the receiver. Can’t wait for dove season!

There’s something about a 42. Pretty sure I won’t be able to hit much with it but as a big fan of the 1912(and 12) I’ll probably have to have one someday. Very nice find, congratulations!

I had one a few years ago but as it turned out, the lady who sold it to me was not the executor of the estate… long story short- I had to give it back but at least I got my money in return. In addition to this acquisition I also have Model 12s in 16 and 12 gauge and a 1912 20 gauge (2 1/2″). The true 28 gauges with the correctly stamped receiver are pricey, so that probably won’t happen unless I’m in the right place at the right time; that’s only happened twice in 55 years…
