Recently acquired a 22 short  Low Wall. It was a semi basket case, had to make a knock off pin and a trigger spring for it. It has a problem when the action is fully open the hammer drops too far into the receiver and falls back slightly so the action can’t be closed. It’s a project gun but I would like to make it functional. Any ideas? Robert

Robert,

My advice is to find original or correct reproduction parts versus using homemade parts. I can’t diagnose what is wrong without having the rifle in hand.
