Back in February i was having trouble finding a copy of Mr. John Henwoods book The Forgotten Winchesters. Clarence told me to try Ebay. One finally came up for bid.Only problem was it sold for $900.00. The next one went $500.00 . I had seen where Ian had posted info about Mr.Leonard Speckin\’s book on the 1907 SLR (self loading rifle). I contacted the retired police inspector/armorer turned author, and authority on model 1907/351 caliber. He told me that story about Mr. Henwood\’s widow offering to sell him the publishing rights years back, and wishing he would have taken her up on it. Well GREAT NEWS!! He has purchased the rights, and combined both books. That should be the most comprehensive book to date on the Model 1905, 1907, and 1910 Winchesters to date! It should be released for sale next week. He only had 100 copies printed of the Forgotten Winchesters collaboration book, and 100 copies of his3rd edition of 1907/351 caliber. Here is his contact email. ispeckin4n6.comrn
Bert, I couldn’t make it work either so I called him. He assured me he was receiving email at the address I have mentioned. I didn’t try it again as it was toddy time. I had searched him on the internet to verify the email (which didn’t work) so I called. Don’t know what to say. Don
