Does it have a Canadian Broad Arrow stamp on the left lower side of the receiver frame, or on the left side of the butt stock?

Bert, No it does not have either. There is a 6 stamp in front of the trigger if that means anything.

That tells me that it is simply a late pre-War production Carbine.
