As planned I picked up a new WACA cap; beautiful blue denim color. Relieved Rick of four pounds of Holy Black and scored a nice Lyman tang sight from Ben so I wouldn’t do something stupid with a nice 1890 that I’d been thinking about selling lately. I didn’t find the rifle I was looking for, I’ve always said if you’re looking for a Winchester it will be there. Did well with TGCA recruiting, they’ll probably want me to do that again!

Tony-
I did see (as did everyone else) the Australian marked Winchester display. It was excellent!!! I didn’t take pics of any of the displays, but I’m sure someone can post some…

I’m still in Cody, having indulged in a couple days of “tourism” with my Son (and new WACA member) who came up from Salt Lake. Leaving town tomorrow…
But since you asked… It was a great show!!! I brought (4) guns here… One was for Bert (I was just the “UPS guy”), two were 22 HORNET pre-64 M70s for potential sale (I sold both), and the last (not for sale) was one of mine I wanted to compare to another (also not for sale) gun I knew was going to be “visiting” the show. Model 70 S/Ns 6 and 12…
I also bought an exceptional M70 transition 257 ROBERTS Super Grade that Jim Riis and I have been talking about for over a year. No pics of that one until I get it home…
All-in-all I can only say that anyone who can attend this show ought to do it…

Be sure to sign up for the WACA Banquet… this year’s menu was “Tenderloin Buffet”…. all you could eat… it…was…AMAZING! Then the dessert… an Apple Crumble w/ fresh whipped cream… ooooh my…. the food was worth twice the ticket price. The speaker was also good. Vinnie, Heather & staff sure know how to do it right! Can’t wait till next year!

Did anyone get to see my friends table of Australian marked winchesters. Winchesters down under. any photos?
Yes, Peter and his crew were set up right next to Mike (TXGunNut) and I’s table. We had Lou’s Model 70 s/n 12 on the table (as well as M70 s/n 6).
Lou has pictures of my new acquisitions, to include the Model 54 Hornet that I conned Ted K out of.

Sounds like you had a wonderful time Lou and nothing better than enjoying it with family. Look forward to seeing photos later.

I’m going to send Bert a couple of cans of Hornet/Wasp Spray to deal with a hornets nest that seems to be growing at his place….
I need some help pestering Bert for a 22 Hornet range report. Been waiting almost a year for one! I really can’t say much, I hit the “Pause” button on a project last year and haven’t done much on it yet.

To follow up on Bert’s post. This is a pic of Bert and Mike with Bert’s latest…
The M70 22 HORNET Super Grade (top) he already had. The M54 22 HORNET NRA Standard rifle with Fecker scope from Tedk is the one I carried out to Cody for him. The M1897 and M1893 riot guns are ones Bert’s posted about recently.

I suppose my most intriguing acquisition from the Cody show was some reading material. It’s going to cut into my online time but I’m OK with that.

I had to stay away from that table, those “starlite mints”were very tempting and I still have most of My teeth.
It was good to see you, Harry. I was wondering where they all went. Good score on that 32″ 1894, that made up for your 1890 not being there.
