OnlineHe’s already on the edge, Jeff! Don’t push him…looking at his R-words he would probably appreciate a good Model 69. 😉

My only .22s are Remingtons. I did not think it polite to post them on a Winchester forum, but since you brought it up …
Remington 41P
Remington 34

Nice!
Shhh….Don’t tell anyone but I have a “R” 41P and 34 also. We just need to lure you over to the dark side and get you hooked on Winchester .22s now. As Mike suggested, a Model 69 might be a good start……
We’ll leave the 52’s to Clarence though, they are out of my price range….

My first gun was my father’s M. 24, which I still have; an expensive .22 at the time, but not the best choice for most 10 or 11 yr olds; I wasn’t “most.” However, it was a Short, so some years later I bought what I still think is the best designed of all the slide-action .22s, a M. 12.

Best Regards,
Regarding Clarence and the Remington model 12, I’ve always had my eye on pump action 22s. There is a live auction coming up near me with two model 61s and two model 62s. They have model 12s also, but they have issues. I might be inclined to bid on one now. More on this in the rimfire forum.

No, I meant those particular model 12s in the auction have issues: heavy corrosion, broken wood, metal damage …
