Thanks for posting the pictures. I did have this listed in the survey, but had failed to note the Trap Door butt plate. Any chance you can dismount it and take a picture(s) of the butt stock inletting for it?
Interestingly, your Short Rifle is one of at least three that were manufactured near the same time. S/Ns 434808, 437188, and 437764 are all factory Short Rifles equipped with a Trap Door butt stock & plate, and were all manufactured in the year 1909. Your Short rifle was manufactured in July of 1909.
