It is an interesting ’73 and I inquired before what the etc. means on the letter. Some one replied that it may be the rest of the guns on the same order #9416. The gun is available for sale or trade. I am working on putting together a display of all the Winchester lever guns, (pre 1900) in high condition standard configuration. This one just does not fill the bill with all the extras, and I want to replace it with a standard high cond. ’73 s.r.c.

As you know provenance would make or break this gun. I’ve lost contact with my Peru contact but his relationship with the government was touchy at best. Will try to contact him again if you’d like but he didn’t respond to my last attempt.

Thanks Michael that would be great. I know it would affect the resale value of the gun to some, knowing the Peruvian President actually used it or whatever. To Me it’s a rare Mod. ’73 s.r.c. with the features it has.
