Closing in on the various 1894 barrel lengths, the 32″ and the absent, but coming, 18″ are recent additions from Cody show. This rack now represents the 14″, 15″, 16″, 18″, 20″, 211/2″, 22″, 24″, 26″, 28″, 30″, 32″. I realize there are still a few elusive pieces to add, but I will find ’em.  20250717_082209.jpgImage Enlarger20250717_082227.jpgImage Enlarger20250717_082243.jpgImage Enlarger20250717_082357.jpgImage Enlarger20250717_082408.jpgImage Enlarger.

Henry,

Great collection. I briefly had a 25″ rifle that lettered.  According to ARMAX only two model 1894 rifles with a 25″ barrel length were produced up to sn 353,999. The rifle was a deluxe with many other special order features.  I had traded for it, but decided not to keep it.  What a mistake.

Nice Henry. I need that wall mount system. Did you make it yourself?

I’m with Tony on this – really a great display.  The visual aspect is striking.  Yes, it reminds me of a pipe organ as well.  I am also reminded of a M1894 36 inch barreled rifle I passed on (didn’t have they money) that was offered to me about 40 years ago.  It was a .32-40, round barrel, full magazine.  It was a factory refinished rifle.

Steven, I did make those racks , not finished furniture but very functional.   Al a 25″ would be quite a score, I did the same thing with a 23″, owned it and let it go. And Steve I had a 36″ in My hands about 8-9 years ago and by time I made up My mind to buy it, (about 10 minutes), it was sold. How ever I am fortunate to have the ones I do have and am still able to pursue the others. I sure would like to acquire a 36″ to build a formal show quality display based on the various barrel lengths.

 Henry,

Ron Dickson bought a 36″ octagon 1894 at one of his shows about that time. Honest gun, I think the guy was from Kentucky. He posted asking value questions on the Forum. I offered him 10k, he brought it to Ron’s show. It pays to have the front table. Ron might still have it.

I bought a 23″ 1/2 octagon from a Yooper relative and like a fool sold it local. He’s aging out and the next time I see him I’ll ask if he’s ready to sell.
