Bought a non functioning Win 94 pre 64 serial 1912xxx Win 32 special. First time for lever action. Figured to take a chance as listed as “no hammer tension”. Sure enough missing main spring and screw. Otherwise the 1953 Win 94 is very nice.
So, looks like 3rd style hammer with “T” post for catching main spring. Are there differences in the metal spring and screw? Assume lots of changes over the years and now looking for couple parts. Then will reassemble as disassembled for inspection.
Any advice appreciated.

Charlie, I’ve seen someone selling, what he claims are, OEM pre 64 mainsprings on Gunbroker recently. $26.00 + shipping. I also bought some Mainspring screws from a DrWinchester on ebay of late.
A lot of aftermarket Mainsprings could serve as rear axle truck springs so I’m hoping the OEM will be a better choice. Don’t have them as yet so no recommendations.
