Can toggle links (Henry, 1866, 1873, 1876) be repaired?  For example, a broken toggle link welded, then fit and finished to work again?  They are very hard to find.  Winchester Bob doesn’t have any for 1873 or 1876.

  Bill,

When you say broken, does that mean just a crack at the hinge point? If so that’s not to hard to fix. I have seen them drilled and pinned or welded in the center.

When the chamber is closed the link is over center and will withstand the recoil, the problem is ejecting the spent case. T/R

Broken at the knuckle prior to the center pivot point.  Two pieces.  My guess is they can be welded and then re-fitted but I am not a gunsmith

If its a 73 just buy another off of ebay but if its for a Henry or 76 than your going to have to repair it. Generally its the center hinge that cracks and pulls open when someone tries to pull out a stuck shell. You would have to press out the hinge pin then weld it up carefully, remachine it and assemble. There is no refinish since they were assembled in the white.
