I had not read this article before. I found it quite interesting.
I took a toggle that had a broken hinge and put it in a vise and lined it up square. I could tighten the vise to the point I figured the ends would start to flatten.

The story behind that Model 73 with the blown out barrel, that was found propped up against the fence, has got to be an interesting one. The writer that wrote the article speculated maybe the owner blew some fingers off when he fired it. I think there is a likely chance that did happen – would love to know the story… I wonder what he was shooting at? … could’ve been bad if it was a bear.
