I’ve recently acquired an 1886 Deluxe and the stock has been poorly refinished a long time ago. It almost looks like a poor quality stain or paint was applied and then covered with varnish. I would like to refinish the stock back to as close to original as possible but the gun is much too valuable for me to attempt it myself. Who would everyone recommend to restore the stock back to an original finish?
