Model 71 won't fire

Model 71 Deluxe .348 will dry fire but will not when loaded(trigger doesn’t move and hammer won’t fall). Ammo loads and cycles fine. Have tried both vintage and new ammo with same no go results. Looking for suggestions or smith that is qualified to do repairs.

Roy,
Are you positive that the bolt is fully closing when you chamber the round? If the bolt is not 100% closed and the lever squeezed tight to the receiver frame, the hammer will not fall (a built in safety feature).
