HELP,
OK, I got the directions, and have disassembled all the way down to the last action: removing the feed-tube.
According to the NRA directions, after loosening the two barrel bands and removing the front screw = the tube should slide out of the receiver. It doesn’t. I’ve sprayed WD40 around the tube at the front of the receiver. What am I missing?

Ron;
You said that you loosened the rear barrel band. I have found that it should be removed. That will usually allow you to slide the forearm forward enough to be able to put some WD40 or better yet KROIL where the magazine tube enters the receiver. The problem that I sometimes run into is getting the band screws lined up when putting things back together. Good Luck. RR

Ron,
Simply loosening the barrel band screws will get you nowhere… you have to completely remove them. After removing the rear barrel band screw, do not pull the barrel band forward off of the forend stock. Instead, slide the stock forward towards the muzzle until the barrel band is loose on the barrel & stock, then slide it off of the stock.
As a side note, unless your gun is wet, never use WD-40 on it. Regardless of their claims, WD-40 is not a lubricating oil, or a penetrating oil. I prefer Kroil, but any penetrating oil will work.
