OfflineI have a couple Winchester model 6601 rifles (Centennial 66) new in the boxes and I’ve noticed the Brass surfaces are getting discolored. Looking at it it almost looks like they were sprayed with some kind of protective coating from the factory and it is coming off or discolored in areas on the brass. Is there any way to clean this coating off and maybe reapply something to protect the brass in the future without changing the overall value of these rifles? I’ll try to upload some pictures later today.
Thanks in advance – EDR

OfflineIf the receivers were plated in 24k gold they should not tarnish.
