A buddy and I were talking yesterday and he mentioned his 94. In the course of the conversation he says his 94 is a nice rifle except for the trigger. I asked what do you mean and he says it’s so hard to pull, so I thought I would get on here and ask you guys if you have any idea of what may be the cause. Something broken or sprung? I would like an idea of what to possibly look for before tearing into it. By the way, he said it was made in the 1920’s. Thanks in advance. RRM

Exactly how much pressure does it take to pull the trigger (on a pull gauge)?

Bert, I have no idea. All he said was it takes a lot of pressure to pull the trigger. I will have to give him a call and ask. It seems that it’s in the closet and doesn’t get out much.

Diagnosing a trigger or feed problem is almost impossible without having the gun in hand but if I had to guess that a harder than normal trigger pull would be cause by a build up gunk if the gun hasn’t been used much or someone has already been inside and worked on it.
