Good afternoon all – been gone for awhile but finally slowing down and able to focus on some of the fun stuff! Anyone know of a smith who installs the winchester 98 bolt peep sights? Or point me in the right direction of some schematics with measurements to mill the bolt on a model 65 (browning reproduction – would never alter an original). Thanks, Bill

Thanks Clarence for the reference. I do have one – just looking for a gunsmith who can mill my bolt and mount it. Harder than I imagined – most smiths are not familiar with the sight – I understand as it is old. Thanks, Bill

Might be cheaper/easier to look for a milled bolt. There is a milled bolt for a 71 on ebay right now. What rifle model are you trying to fit the sight to?
Or, just sell the sight to me

The 98C bolt peep sight was made exclusively for the Model 65 rifles in the 218 Bee caliber. For a Model 71, you need a 98A bolt peep sight.
