Would appreciate any assistance in locating/replacing the trigger spring on an 1895 flatside.

You’re in luck. The mainsprings on first and second model 1895’s are the same. I once bought a flatside with a weak mainspring (it turned out is was homemade by Bubba). I replaced it with a mainspring from a second model and it has given me years of faithfull service.
Let me know if you need instructions on how to install one. It’s quite an easy process.

IN REFERENCE TO MY ATTACHMENT, THE TRIGGER SPRING GOES INTO A GROOVE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE LINK AND IS HELD IN PLACE BY THE FINGER LEVER LINK PIN. THE ROUND TAB ON THE FRONT OF THE SPRING RIDES ON THE TAPERED TOP BACK CAM OF THE TRIGGER. RIFLE SERIAL NUMBER IS 4558.

Sorry, I made the faulty assumption that you were referencing the mainspring. I should have clarified that before I answered.
I don’t know of a good source for that particular part.
