Recently purchased a Winchester 1873 and I can’t remove the left toggle link, seems to be stuck on the forward link stud. I tried a little kroil soaking but no help. The link rotates on the pin ok but can’t lift it off the pin. Like its staked??? Any ideas??? Need a miniture bearing puller.

It is very odd it would do that unless someone modified it. Is there any sign of the end of the pin being peened? If you could post a picture of it might help me understand what happened.

I got the toggle link off….Needed bigger hammer….The pin & link hole seemed ok, just tight.

Thanks….
