I recently acquired a Model 54, Hornet 22 cal with a Weaver 600 scope.  I know its a rare and valuable collector piece but I don’t know the value.  I also need the bolt for it and can’t find one so if anyone has suggestions, I would really appreciate it.  I will be selling it.

I hope that you acquired it for a very small sum.  The missing bolt is very problematic, and it is a huge hit to the collector interest & value of the rifle.  Finding a replacement bolt is going to be a difficult (and expensive) task.  Currently with a missing bolt, the value of the rifle is the sum total of the remaining parts.

PG:

Bert is correct, unfortunately.

I have a M-54 in 22 Hornet from the same period with a G&H sidemount and scope. The Hornet bolts are unique because of the size of the cartridge. It is never wise to separate a bolt from the original rifle, for any reason. It might be wise to start advertising for one. A riflesmith “might” be able to adapt a M-70 bolt in 22 Hornet to your M-54, but the rarity is similar.
