Is there a resource that lists the thread size/ pitch for the screws on pre-64s?  I’ve looked around and don’t see anything on the interweb……. In particular, I need to chase the threads in the link for the link pin stop screw.

Regards, Ron

May want to spent a bit of time here.  Not a chart, per se, but quite often the screw description is helpful. They also list taps and dies with applications. May also want to use the Brownell’s chat function. It’s staffed by working gunsmiths as well as Brownell’s staff.

I went to Homestead first thing.  Their descriptions are pretty thorough except for this screw….  I’ve emailed- we’ll see.

If you have access to Arthur Pirkles volume 3 I think there is a good chance it will be listed..I have volume 1, and 2 and he covers screw size and pitch pretty well, Otherwise you might take the screw to a good hardware store that has a screw checker..

Pirkle’s book states that the link pin stop screw is 5/16″ long, the head is 1/16″ high and 13/64″ in diameter and the shank is 9/64″ in diameter and 1/8″ long.  Only 1/8″ of the shank is threaded 6-48 just below the head.  See page 32 of his book for an illustration.
